MSFDv8 still speculates that this may be possible with Tribunal, but I am not having any success using (local, float) variables with the Position command. Thepal posts that it is not possible, IndigoRage not only claims it is possible, but offers a link to his own code where he claims to have used variables with Position. I studied his code, and unless I missed something relevant, Indigo used the SetPos command (not Position) to achieve his teleporter. I suppose that I could make SetPos serve my purpose, but it would be nice to settle this question about Position’s and PositionCell’s ability to accept variables (of any sort, under any circumstance). Has anyone managed to do this?

I've tried it in a couple of scripts without success. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't, but it's never worked for me. I just use setPos and coc (where necessary). It's sad that you have to use 4 lines of code to do the job of 1, but at least it works.

Thanks for your reply. It is a shame that four lines are required instead of one, but that is still far better than the several dozen that I would need if I had to use numerical values instead of variables. I guess I know what I need to do...

Perish the thought! Ugh... I don't even want to think about a scenario like that.
